Making the Oval Oblong

On Thursday 20th August some of our intrepid oblongneers travelled from The Future is Oblong HQ all the way to the Brit Oval cricket ground to spread the oblong message with bold signs before the start of the deciding 5th Ashes test.

The initial cynicism turned to looks of intrigue and wonderment, as ‘The Future is Oblong’ signs got noticed by the Oval crowd.

Pictures were taken, the captive public got involved, people talked, the police were suspicious. Overall, fun was had by all.

Mr Wallace was so impressed with the campaign that he decided to take a picture of our brave warriors as they defended the oblong’s honour against the oblong suppressors and put it on Twitter. The plan was working perfectly.

As the morning continued, the oblongeers told people about the tweets, the website and plans to make the future oblong, which led to more confusion and intrigue.

“Check out the website, check out the tweets. It will all make sense when the time comes”, they said.

Some asked more questions. What does this mean? Why is the future oblong? What are you doing?

But little was given away. All will be revealed in good time my friends, all will be revealed!
