The Future of Jaffa Cakes is Oblong

We, at ’The Future is Oblong’ HQ, are aiming to create a more oblong-friendly world starting with one of Britain’s best-loved treats, the Jaffa Cake.

The oblong-shaped Jaffa Cake is not only more space efficient, fitting more snugly into its packaging than a round Jaffa Cake, it provides an optimum surface area to receive the edge-to-edge, tangy real orange filling and delicious chocolate topping.

The orangey filling of round Jaffa Cakes, on the other hand, is restricted to a mound in the middle, leaving the outer edge drier and less tasty.

So many of the wonders of the world are already oblong – from the ancient stones of Stonehenge to Lord’s Cricket Ground and David Coulthard’s chin, why not the Jaffa Cake?

It is our mission to get everyone in an oblong frame of mind, spreading the message to other, rounder areas of life. Imagine how much easier it would be to dip your soldiers into an oblong egg yolk, or fit an oblong apple into your lunchbox!

When it comes to the ultimate treat, oblong Jaffa Cakes simply have the edge.
